A trusted broker with MT4 and MT5 support and two trading accounts with the lowest fees in the industry, Tickmill provides the perfect trading environment for both serious beginners and more experienced traders. However, traders from Indonesia will join through the Seychelles-based entity Tickmill, which provides less protection than regulators in the EU or Australia.

What is Tickmill Trading Forex

Tickmill is a global group of companies that trade forex trading instruments from indices, commodities and stocks among many others. Tickmill was founded in the Seychelles in 2014 and despite being young in the industry it has moved on to giant strides to become a force to be reckoned with.

With three account types on offer, the Pro and VIP accounts have market-leading trading conditions, making a classic fixed-fee account feel like an unattractive option. Pro and VIP accounts have the same spread costs for traders with EURUSD spreads from 0.20 pips.

With a minimum deposit of 100 USD, the Pro account has a commission of 4 USD (spins) per 1 lot traded, compared to the professional VIP account with a commission of 2 USD (rounds) and a minimum deposit of 50,000 USD.

Market education and analysis are both excellent and experienced traders will appreciate the wide range of currency pairs on offer.

Overall, although Tickmill's standard account is more expensive than other similar brokers, the two low-cost commission accounts make it an excellent broker choice for Metatrader users looking for a new broker.

Is Tickmill safe?

Tickmill retains regulation from a number of top-level authorities, including the UK's FCA and CySEC of Cyprus, but Indonesian traders will join through the Seychelles-based Tickmill entity, which offers less protection.

Regulation: Tickmill's clients from Indonesia will join through its Seychelles-based entity, which is regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Tickmill Trading Assets

Tickmill's range of tradable financial instruments is smaller than most other brokers, but we are pleased to see that in May 2022 Tickmill added a variety of stock CFDs to its offering.

Forex: Tickmill offers 62+ currency pairs to trade, including major currencies (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY) and minor currencies (NZD/CAD, EUR/JPY, and GBP/NZD), and exotics (EUR/NOK, USD/SEK and EUR/ZAR). At Tickmill, there are more pairs to trade than most other Forex brokers.

Indices: Tickmill offers trading on 27 indices, which is average compared to other similar brokers, but includes AUS200, UK100, US30 and US500. Both Index Futures and Index Cash CFDs are available.

Metals: Tickmill offers three metals, whereas most brokers only offer trades between 5 – 10 Metals. This offer includes gold and silver.

Bonds: Tickmill offers four bonds for trading, which is average compared to other similar brokers.

Cryptocurrencies: Tickmill only offers eight cryptocurrencies for trading, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. This offer is also quite limited compared to those available at other brokers.

Despite the wide selection of Forex pairs, Tickmill has a disappointing range of CFDs, but we are pleased to see that Tickmill now offers stock CFD trading.
